Many companies are deciding to go in a route where they are offering employees and workers unlimited vacation. As long as the work gets done, this perk helps reward and keep around hard-working employees.
U.S. employers carry $224 billion in accumulated vacation time on their balance sheets, according to a recent study by the travel consortium Project: Time Off.
Adam Sacks of Oxford Economics said, “Unused vacation time is a burden for American companies as well as the economy. Our previous research shows that if Americans took just one more day of vacation, it would amount to a $73 billion boon to the U.S. economy.”
