Memphis International Airport is making great progress by adding new flights from startup airlines and low-cost carriers. Carriers like Allegiant, GLO, and OneJet are new carriers that are making their way to the Memphis area.
Allegiant Air launched service in May 2015, OneJet (specific to business travelers) launched in June, and GLO will take off in November. GLO will be Memphis International’s eleventh air carrier, and it will increase the amount of destinations served to 41.
Forest Artz, MSCAA CFO, said the number of origin and destination enplanements for the month of September has increased by 12.4 percent compared to last year.
